The Nintendo 3DS is expected to be released on October 10th. This device will go with a 3.53” top screen and a 3.02” bottom touch screen. It has three cameras (one inside and two outside) to deliver the stereo 3D effect and take stereo 3D pictures. It also includes a motion sensor, a gyro sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n controller, a Slide Pad that allows 360-degree analog input. This device uses DMP Pica 200 graphics processor. Moreover, the device has a special slider that can increase, decrease or disable stereoscopic 3D (S3D) effect. The 3DS’s design is similar to the predecessors and is fully compatible with Nintendo DS titles.

The next version of the Nintendo DS will feature glasses-free 3D. Tentatively called Nintendo 3DS, the device will apparently still be compatible with DS and DSi games
