Now we are talking about the battery's short life of iPhone 4S, Apple declares that it's because the bug of hardware, but lately, some anonymous says that's not true, according to his experiment, the battery issue has nothing to do with hardware, and his conclusion is very convictive.

When that problem happened at first time, Apple said it could be fixed through updating IOS operation system, but apple customers say devices with the new iOS 5 operating system are still suffering from weak battery life. So in case you'll lose your stuff in iPhone, so I guess you'd better save them in your other devices like PC or something with iphone to pc transfer. Users took to message boards on Apple's website to complain that the software remedy delivered last week hasn't corrected the flaw. The criticisms first surfaced after Apple released the mobile operating system last month. Apple said that it's looking into the matter.

We all want to know what exactly happening? So someone made an experiment to prove that it's not because of the hardware, the anonymous guy I mentioned in the first paragraph has proved that. He had two handsets, one that was displaying the battery problem that some people are screaming about, and another that wasn't. He admitted that the two handsets were very different in their configuration and had different apps installed. One was a test bed for apps he develops, the other was his day-to-day use handset. It was his day-to-day handset that was displaying the battery problems.

Both handsets were bought at the same time (direct from Apple for delivery on launch day), both are connected to the same network (AT&T) and both handsets are now running iOS 5.0.1. This to me was strong evidence to suggest that the problem affecting iPhone handsets was not a hardware issue. However, so that we could totally rule out this being a hardware problem the developer took things a step further. He factory reset both handsets and then recovered then from a backup.

However, rather than reloading them with their original backup, he swapped them over. He reloading his day-to-day handset with the backup from his development handset, and loaded the development handset with the backup from his regular day-to-day handset. The problem jumped handsets. Now the handset that was his development test bed (but loaded with the apps and settings from his day-to-day handset) is displaying the battery drain problem. The other handset (the one that was displaying the problem), is showing excellent battery life.

We don't know the primary reason about short battery life of iPhone, not for now, but what we can make sure is hardware is not the reason, so it's likely to be fixed by software update, and here is a tip or common sense, before you update your operation system, please remember backup your files in iPhone, like if you want to save your songs, you need to transfer iphone songs to itunes or other devices, or you'll lose it.
